How much does it cost to enter?

There is no cost to enter the Fashion Showcase.

What measures are in place for the coronavirus pandemic?

The health and safety of all involved in the Toodyay Fibre Festival remains our top priority. For further information and updates please visit https://toodyayfibrefestival.com/coronavirus.

Is there a theme?

No. There is no specific theme because we don’t want to limit your creativity. However, there should be a focus on fibre and the creative incorporation or use of fibres.

Does my garment need to have been made recently?

No. There are no restriction on when your garment was made. However, it cannot have been showcased at any previous Toodyay Fibre Festival.

Does I need to enter a complete outfit?

No. There is no requirement to enter a complete outfit. However, you may enter a complete outfit should you choose to do so. If you enter separate garment items (e.g., top, skit, hat, etc) we will work with you on how to best present these.

Does my garment have to be finished before submitting an EOI?

No. The Expression of Interest (EOI) is intended to allow our dedicated team of volunteers to better understand how many designers and garments may appear in the Fashion Showcase. We understand things may change between now and the Festival.

When will I need to provide additional information on my garment?

In early April we will email everyone who submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) an online form to collect additional information. We will require the form to be completed by mid-May (the exact date will be outlined in the email and on the actual form).

When will I need to provide my garment?

We will require your garment at least one week prior to the Toodyay Fibre Festival. We will contact each designer in mid-May to arrange a date/time.

There is no restriction on the number of garments you may enter. However, depending on the total number of garments entered we may showcase only five garments per designer per session (some garments therefore may only be showcased at one session).

When can I collect my garment?

Garments can be colleted at the Toodyay Festival from Memorial Hall between 3:30pm and 4:30pm. We will contact designers in mid-May to confirm collection arrangements.

Can I offer my garment for sale?

Yes. Your garment can be offered for sale. Sales cans be completed after the second showcase (held at 1:30pm). We prefer that transactions are competed directly between the designer and purchaser. Toodyay Fibre Festival does not take a commission on any sales from the Fashion Showcase.
